• I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to the Bhopal Institute of Technology & Science.

• Bhopal Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) was born in 2001. We founded this engineering college with the support of several industry veterans, academicians and successful entrepreneurs of one of the most admired companies in India and USA to expose you all to new world- The world of BITS!. BITS aspires to be the best private engineering college with all of your support. The infrastructure will be world-class, and you can expect to have a highly talented group of faculty and staff. These are some of the excellent reasons for choosing BITS.

• Let me add one more reason to the list, a reason that may be less concrete, but no less important for at least some of you. A French adventurer and philosopher, created a striking metaphor - "If you want to build a ship, don't drum up the men to go to the forest to gather wood, saw it, and nail the planks together. Being a part of computer science branch of BITS is quite an honor in itself. I feel highly privileged to be a part of this highly talented and motivated faculty and students of BITS. I really feel that BITS is going to bloom into the college of our dreams and the college that really caters for huge deficiency of trained technocrats.
